UNC Global Hosts Naturalization Ceremony for US Citizenship

On March 24, 2017, UNC Global, in conjunction with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), will host a naturalization ceremony recognizing nearly 60 of North Carolina’s new candidates for U.S. citizenship. The ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Nelson Mandela auditorium at the FedEx Global Education Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Tibetan Buddhist Monk Creates Sand Mandala as Exercise in Enlightenment

As part of Asia Week 2017, the Carolina Asia Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hosted a special guest whose work offered a window into Tibetan culture. Geshe Palden Sangpo, a monk who practices Tibetan Buddhism, spent nearly four days at the FedEx Global Education Center creating a sand mandala, an ancient Tibetan Buddhist art form.
