The Global Unified Business Cluster provides administrative business support to UNC Global, including the Center for Global Initiatives, Global Research Institute, Global Relations, International Student and Scholar Services and Global Development. Business functions include human resources, finance and accounting, sponsored research administration and procurement.
Director of Finance and Human Resources
As director of finance and human resources for the UNC Global Unified Business Cluster, Narvis Green manages and facilitates the financial budget and serves as the principal human resources lead. She is responsible for providing overall direction of personnel administration, business operations, accounting and business standards and practices, policy interpretation and implementation, grants administration, financial analysis, reporting and planning, payroll, purchasing and inventory control for UNC Global, the Center for Global Initiatives, Global Research Institute, Global Relations, International Student and Scholar Services and Development for UNC Global.
She has been an employee at UNC-Chapel Hill since 1998. Her previous work includes accounting positions with UNC Information Technology Services, UNC School of Law and U.S. Civil Service in Stuttgart, Germany. Green received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University.
Yelena Mirzoyan has been an employee at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2001. She administers and coordinates business and human resources functions for UNC Global. Her human resources duties include student personnel administration and assisting with the staff recruitment process, while her finance duties include consultant payments, global staff travel reimbursements and equipment and purchase card procurement. Mirzoyan previously did accounting and human resources work in the UNC Department of Anesthesiology. She moved from Moscow in 1995.
Galina Zilberter joined UNC Global in 2000. She performs a full range of technical accounting work, and is responsible for accounts payable, reconciliation of all fund types and maintaining accounting records.
