Jonathan Weiler is Director of Global Studies at UNC Chapel Hill, where he received his PhD in Political Science, in 1999. He has taught courses in Russian Politics, Human Rights, European Politics, and Comparative Development among others. His first book, Human Rights in Russia: A Darker Side of Reform, was published in 2004 by Lynne Rienner Publishers. His second, Authoritarianism and Polarization in American Politics, co-authored with Marc Hetherington, was published in 2009 by Cambridge University Press.
