The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill took on the role of educating the people of North Carolina about World War I. The Bureau of Extension, formed in 1913, published informational pamphlets and sent faculty lecturers across the state. These activities reflected the public service ethos promoted by UNC-Chapel Hill’s new president, Edward Kidder Graham, and became policy for the University in the years to come. Join students, farmworkers and organizers from Student Action with Farmworkers (SAF) on March 29 in Davis Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a bilingual event celebrating More than One Story | Más de una historia. This exhibition of 48 photographs marks SAF’s 25-year partnership between farmworkers and students in the Southeast.
