Chad Pike was a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Real Estate Group at Blackstone from 2005-2011. Mr. Pike was based in London and was responsible for the day-to-day management of the group’s investment activities and personnel in Europe. He also served on the firm’s Executive Committee. In 2012, Mr. Pike was promoted to Vice Chairman of Europe and was a co-founder of Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities business where he served on the group’s Review Committee, Investment Committee and was named a Key Person in Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Funds I, II, and III.
Mr. Pike is Chairman of Grassy Creek, LLC, his private family office, and, in 2011, Mr. Pike founded Eleven, a hospitality company that owns and operates 13 hotels across 4 continents. In December 2021, Mr. Pike led the creation of Acme Marinas, a platform with $500mn of equity committed to acquire and operate marinas across the U.S. In 2023, Chad Pike launched Makarora, a real estate investment firm, where he is CIO.
Mr. Pike received a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors. He served on the Board of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation from 2009-2022, where he was co-Chairman of the Aquatics Subcommittee. He has served as Chairman of the North Atlantic Salmon Fund since 2017 and as Chairman of the Grassy Creek Foundation since its founding in 2011. Mr. Pike is married to Blake Pike (Bachelor of Arts, 1993) and they reside in Florida. They have four children, and their eldest daughter graduated the UNC Honors Carolina program in 2023.
