Since graduating with degrees in chemistry and Spanish, Rupp has spent the majority of his time abroad. He taught math and science with Peace Corps in Cameroon and English with the JET Program in Japan. After earning his Master of Business Administration from Yale School of Management, he joined Overlook Investments where he is currently research director. Overlook manages $5 billion in a concentrated portfolio of long-only public equities across Asia. Rupp is a native of Boone, co-chair of the UNC alumni club of Hong Kong, invests in various startups, and enjoys the outdoors.
