A native of Fort Mill, South Carolina, with more than 30 years of experience in the textile industry, Derick Close is the CEO and owner of Springs Creative Products Group, Carolina Manufacturing and Springsteen Logistics. He was a board member and past president of the North Carolina Textile Foundation, member of the Board of Trustees for North Carolina State University, and a member of the Board of Governors for the University of North Carolina System. Close helped initiate The Centennial Scholars scholarship program to attract talented students to the College of Textiles at NC State.
