International Liaison Officer
Melissa McMurray serves as international liaison officer for UNC Global and is responsible for coordinating and hosting university-wide visits by institutional partners and other international delegations, providing protocol guidance and managing the Memorandum of Understanding and agreement process for the University, as well as providing additional support for University partnerships. She has also served as co-advisor for the student-published Carolina Passport magazine since 2010. Before her current appointment, she served as the special assistant for UNC Global since 2004, supporting the directors of development and global relations. Prior to joining the staff at UNC Global, she worked with international students at Georgetown University in the English as a Foreign Language Program to coordinate activities, events, student services and publications. She earned her master’s degree in international studies from the University of South Carolina and her bachelor’s degree in international relations and Spanish from the University of Richmond.
