Dr. Ross L. Vaughan is a retired neonatologist in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Vaughan spent the bulk of his 38-year career at Wake and Rex hospitals and was Director of Nurseries for many years. His other career experience includes time as a professor of pediatrics in the UNC System, two years as a US Navy medical officer, and international medical experience in countries including Australia, Bolivia, China, England, Mongolia, and Nicaragua. Dr. Vaughan holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his pediatric residency and neonatal fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He is a current member of the Board of Visitors for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
