Thomas is the Co-founder and current CEO for Xanitaz Health Care Solutions, Inc., a start-up with headquarter located in North Carolina (NC).  Before assuming the CEO role, Thomas was the Chief Strategy Officer for the company.  Previously, he was the COO for another startup Personal Health Record company.  Before entering the entrepreneurial space, Thomas spent 20+ years in large pharma, biotech and Clinical Research Organizations where, over time, he assumed positions of increasing responsibility and worked in and managed drug product development programs across several therapeutic areas.  Thomas still consults in the pharma space and was most recently managing for a biotech client the clinical operations in a First-in-human Phase 1 oncology program.  He became interested in the intersection between pharma and public health after having served for a decade as a board member for the University of North Carolina (UNC) Gillings School of Global Public Health Foundation and continues that service as an emeritus member.  He is particularly interested in applying his pharma translational research skillsets to the problems of population health care strategy for diabetic risk management and self-empowerment in regard to health care decision-making.  Thomas has a PhD in Biochemistry and MPH in Public Health, both from UNC.  He is an avid supporter of and an ambassador to UNC and is currently serving as a UNC Board of Visitor member.  Thomas is also active within the NC regional angel community and is a member of the RTP Capital Group and Carolina Angel Network.
