EXHIBITION TEMPORARILY CLOSED: 2020 Carolina Global Photography Exhibition
January 8, 2020 - July 10, 2020
View photography from around the world in this exhibition featuring work by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill alumni, faculty, staff and students. The exhibition will open January 8 and run through July 10, 2020 at the FedEx Global Education Center. All photography on display was submitted as part of UNC-Chapel Hill’s 20th annual Carolina Global Photography Competition. The judges’ committee selected winning photographs with special consideration given to images that are distinctive and embrace a new perspective. Photographs have been selected for first, second and third place as well as thematic and FedEx Global Education Center spotlights.
Thematic spotlights were awarded to photos that incorporated the following themes:
-Chancellor’s choice
-Vice Provost for Global Affairs’ selection
-First time abroad
-Global celebrations and festivals
-Global perspectives within the U.S.
-Learning moment
-Movement
-Nature’s beauty
-A new take on an old landmark
-School spirit
FedEx Global Education Center spotlights were selected by each area studies center and unit housed in the FedEx Global Education Center. Each unit selected a photo representing their mission, vision, academic focus or world area.
