An Evening with Comedian Hari Kondabolu

This event will be the culmination of a short series on

Comedian Hari Kondabolu will be joined by Kumi Silva, UNC-Chapel Hill Communications, and Kellen Hoxworth from Florida State University Theatre Studies, moderated by Michelle Robinson UNC-Chapel Hill American Studies to discuss stereotypes and mischaracterizations of South Asians in the media in the U.S. and beyond. They will unpack the ways that brown communities have been presented, examine the global roots of these images and share their own research and activism on this issue.

This event is free and open to the Carolina community, but it will be ticketed by the Carolina Union due to limited space. Please go to go.unc.edu/Hari to reserve your spot.
