Charles Kurzman, ‘Why are There So Few Muslim Terrorists?’

February 26, 2019 at 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

This talk by Charles Kurzman will address Kurzman’s book The Missing Martyrs, which draws on government sources and revolutionary publications, public opinion surveys and election results, historical documents and in-depth interviews with Muslims in the Middle East and around the world to examine barriers to terrorist recruitment, including liberal Islam, revolutionary rivalries and an inelastic demand for U.S. foreign policy.

Advance registrants pay $18 per lecture ($13 for GAA members) and $20 at the door. All currently enrolled UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff may attend free of charge. Register or call +1.919.962.1544.
