Cinema School: ‘Boas Maneiras’ (Brazil, 2017)

This fall, take a cinematic trip around the world with Mornings at the Movies! Join insightful Carolina foreign language scholars as they share their favorite films. All screenings begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and conclude with a discussion with the scholar.

Boas Maneiras (Brazil, 2017) is directed by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra. Clara, a lonely nurse from the outskirts of São Paulo, is hired by mysterious and wealthy Ana as the nanny for her unborn child. The two women develop a strong bond, but a fateful night changes their plans. This event is presented by André Keiji Kunigami, postdoctoral research fellow in Spanish and Portuguese.
