Dilara Maya and Irem Altan, ‘A Visual Journey from Turkey to the Triangle’

The Turkish Circle at Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University presents Dilara Maya and Irem Altan. They will share their stories as young scholars moving from Turkey to the Triangle through their paintings and photographs. There will be a potluck dinner. The Turkish Circle is a community group which meets the first Tuesday of every month and brings together students, scholars and members of the community who are interested in Turkey or the Ottoman Empire.
