Film Screening: ‘Documenting the War in Afghanistan’ and Discussion

Meg Mackenzie Prior is a combat photographer and filmmaker who has embedded with U.S. Army Infantry, Combat Aviation and Special Forces Units to record the missions and operations conducted by International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan beginning in 2010 with the Surge.

Over the past 10 years, Prior has filmed and photographed U.S. military and the Afghan population with uncompromising clarity and attention to detail as to the nature of the conflict in Afghanistan. She has deployed with units for months at a time each year between 2010 and 2017, and chronicled more than 350 combat missions.
