Eke ReceptionNigerian artist Bright Ugochukwu Eke, UNC spring 2013 Hanes Visiting Artist-in-Residence, will celebrate the completion of his 3-D installation at the FedEx Global Education Center on March 28 at 5 p.m. This installation is one of three components in the exhibit “The Water of Life: Artistic Expressions,” in conjunction with the 2012-2014 UNC campus-wide theme “Water in our World.” The work will incorporate recycled and assembled materials to explore the political, ethical, and ecological issues of water. Volunteers from the UNC community will assist Eke in creating this site-specific installation. The reception is free and open to the public.
