GillingsX 2022: Climate Change and Land Sovereignty

The Student Global Health Committee of the Gillings School of Global Public Health will be having its annual GillingsX event, a TEDx-style event, on local roots for global growth: climate change and land sovereignty. The even will take place in Rosenau 133, 5-6pm, on Friday, April 1. Catered reception to follow.
Presenters include:
- Amy Kryston, MPH candidate, on climate change, environmental justice and public health from North Carolina to Bangladesh
- Abby Nelson, MPH candidate, on climate change and the forced relocation of Newtok: the process of moving a small village 6 miles upriver
- Alaa Hammouda, MPH candidate, on women’s life in conflict zones
