October 29, 2019 at 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
This session explores the reasons why multinational firms make investments in foreign countries; how these investments have changed the nature of trade negotiations and trade agreements; and the ways in which global supply chains affect economic and political outcomes. Layna Mosley, professor of political science, also will discuss her research on how involvement in global supply chains affects the rights of workers, especially in developing countries.
