Lecture: Richard Verma, ‘Modern Indian Studies Initiative’

Ambassador Richard Verma is an American diplomat and former U.S. ambassador to India from 2015 to 2017. During his tenure, Verma oversaw an unprecedented nine meetings and three summits between President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which resulted in initiatives and more than 40 government-to-government dialogues. Verma is currently the vice chairman of The Asia Group.
