Jodi Magness, ‘Masada: From Jewish Revolt to Modern Myth’ Lunch Seminar

Each semester, the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies hosts informal lunch seminars to discuss academic topics related to the field of Jewish Studies. The lunch seminars are for Carolina’s faculty and graduate students, and interested undergraduates. Reservations are required as lunch will be provided. Guest speaker: Jodi Magness (www.JodiMagness.org) is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (category of Philosophy and Religious Studies). She holds a senior endowed chair in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: the Kenan Distinguished Professor for Teaching Excellence in Early Judaism.
