Mornings at the Movies, ‘Cléo de 5 a 7’

This fall, take a cinematic trip around the world with Mornings at the Movies! Join insightful Carolina foreign language scholars as they share their favorite films. All screenings begin promptly at 10:00 am and conclude with a discussion with our scholar. All the films are subtitled.
Cléo de 5 a 7 (Cleo from 5 to 7, France, 1962) is directed by Agnès Varda. Cleo, a singer and hypochondriac, becomes increasingly worried that she might have cancer while awaiting test results from her doctor. Discussion will feature Rachel Schaevitz, associate director for state outreach and strategic partnerships, Carolina Public Humanities.
