CANCELED: North Carolina Conference on Latin American Studies

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University and the Latin American Studies Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are pleased to announce the second annual North Carolina Conference on Latin American Studies (NC/CLAS). NC/CLAS 2020 seeks to bring together scholars, specialists, and graduate students in North Carolina engaged in the diverse and multiple disciplinary domains dedicated to Latin American and Latino/a studies, past and present.

The NC/CLAS 2020 organizers are pleased to invite submissions of proposals for panels to present current scholarship from any disciplinary perspective to address subjects of new research, matters of pedagogy, and address themes of advocacy and policy. Proposed panels may take the form of traditional scholarly presentations, workshops, and round table discussions. Please note: submissions of individual papers will be reviewed and considered for inclusion only if an appropriate thematic placement becomes available.

The theme of NC/CLAS 2020 will be dedicated to “Engaging Latin American Realities.” The deadline for registration is March 6, 2020
