Poetry Translation Workshop with Nieves García Prados

Nieves García Prados will lead a poetry translation workshop in which she will discuss her work and lead several activities that seek to introduce participants to the practice of translating poetry. We will primarily be working between Spanish and English, but all languages and experience levels are welcome.

Nievers García Prados is from Granada, Spain. She has studied literary translation, Spanish language pedagogy, communication and journalism and earned her PhD in education. She is the authorized translator into Spanish of Mary Oliver, Charles Simic, Natasha Trethewey and Juan Felipe Herrera.
