Transnational Korean Cinema and Media Conference

The Carolina Asia Center is hosting the Triangle East Asia Colloquium 2019 on the theme of Transnational Korean Cinema and Media. The events will feature short films and panelists from all around the states.

The reception will take place at 5:30 pm, followed by four film screenings at 6 pm and end with a Q and A at 8 pm with directors Juhui Kwon and Nick Neon.

Juhui Kwon is an independent writer-director based in New York City, hailing from South Korea. Her early films have stemmed from a diaspora theme and essay film genre. Nick Neon is an award-winning Korean-American filmmaker and actor. He is best known for his short films following Jimmy Park, a lost, gay man struggling with his identity.
