The Carolina Asia Center invites the entire Chapel Hill community to participate in the 2016 Southeast Asian Language Workshops. Taught by experts and designed for learners with no previous experience, these workshops will offer a basic introduction to Bahasa Indonesia, Thai and Vietnamese.
The workshops will be delivered concurrently over the course of three afternoons in April. Margie Secord, Rungsima Kullapat Lefferts and Eric Henry will each conduct a three-part introduction to their respective language. Those planning to study abroad or conduct academic research in a Southeast Asian country will benefit most from these workshops. At the April 7 session, a light dinner will be served.
Space is limited for these workshops, so sign up as early as possible. Seats will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required and can be completed online.
