TAM Friday Lecture Series: Cas Mudde

Cas Mudde was born in the Netherlands, where he gained his master’s degree and Ph.D. in political science at Leiden University, under the supervision of the late Peter Mair. Before moving to the U.S. in 2008 to join his wife, he held tenure-track positions at Central European University in Hungary, the University of Edinburgh in the U.K., and the University of Antwerp in Belgium.

The lecture series is designed to enhance students’ understanding of transatlantic studies through direct contact with academic practitioners. It is particularly targeted towards students in the TransAtlantic Masters program and undergraduate majors in Contemporary European Studies, but is open to all University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill students and the general public.
