Distinguished historian John J. Martin will explore the surprising nature of the self within the arts and humanities of Renaissance Europe. Considering the experiences of men and women through the diverse lenses of scholasticism, patronage, melancholia, and portraiture, this seminar will challenge us to rethink the nature of identities then and now.
The tuition for this event is $125 ($110 by Jan 26). Scholarships covering 50% of tuition are available for teachers. First-time participants also receive a discount. Carolina undergraduate students can attend for free, but need to register as seats are limited.
