UNC Hospital Multicultural Affair

The goal of the fair is to celebrate the diversity within UNC Hospitals and the community it serves, provide education and promote understanding of differences. In the past, there has been a variety of entertainment, including African dance, salsa lessons, Latin music, Native American singers, gospel singers, Chinese dance, Flamenco dance, Tai-Chi demonstrations, Bhangra dance, martial arts demos, belly dancing, Zumba lessons and Appalachian clogging.

Vendors participate with cultural crafts for sale and food samples prepared by the Nutrition & Food Services department. Students, faculty and staff are invited to create and display exhibits of cultures from across the United States and around the world. Diverse community organizations also set up displays to share information. The day is filled with lots of laughter, celebration, entertainment and fun.
