Urdu Majlis

Please join the Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Civilizations on Saturday September 8 for the next monthly meeting of Urdu Majlis, the Triangle’s Urdu Literary Forum. This Urdu Majlis will concentrate on the life and works of poet Mir Taqi Mir (1723-1810), the leading Urdu poet of the 18th century, and one of the pioneers who gave shape to the Urdu language itself. Please arrive on time as a courtesy to others. Participants are invited to bring refreshments to share. This event is free and open to the public.
