Virtual: Aging, Loss, and Geological Change in ‘The World in Half’

Join the UNC Department of Women and Gender Studies and the Institute for the Study of the Americas (ISA) on April 12 at 5:30 p.m. as part of the ISA’s Faculty Lecture Series. Ariana Vigil is a professor of women’s studies and her research focuses on Latinx literature and culture. In particular, her work examines how gender, race, sexuality, and class are deployed in various national and transnational contexts. In this lecture, she will address these themes in connection to Cristina Henriquez’s novel The World in Half. Click here to register.
