Virtual: #FoundedinAfrica Series

Join the African Studies Center (ASC) for an interesting discussion on diaspora, career and politics. The #FoundedinAfrica series was created to showcase and celebrate African immigrants. In sharing the successes and challenges experienced by the African diaspora community, ASC hopes to support the community’s interest and enquiry into contemporary Africa.

Ada Umenwaliri, acting director of the African Studies Center, will facilitate the discussion with guest speaker, Judith Nwandu, senior political reporter and senior associate producer of ‘The Shade Room.’ She will share what it means to be politically involved as a first-Gen African and black woman in America.
