Virtual: Krasno Global Events Series: ‘Autocracy in Russia from World War II to the Present’

Klaus Larres, Richard M. Krasno Distinguished Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, will moderate the discussion on Stalin, Krushchev, and Putin.


Hiroaki Kuromiya is the author of Stalin (2005) and Conscience on Trial: The Fate of Fourteen Pacifists in Stalin’s Ukraine, 1952-53 (2012), and others.

William Taubman is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Krushchev: The Man and his Era (2005) and Gorbachev: His Life and Times (2017), and others.

Donald Raleigh is the author of forthcoming biography of Leonid Brezhnev & Soviet Baby Boomers: Oral History of Russia’s Cold War Generation (2011), and others.

Angela Stent is the author of Putin’s World: Russia Against the West and with the Rest (2019) Limits of Partnership: US-Russian Relations in the 21th c. (2014), and others.
