Klaus Larres, Richard M. Krasno Distinguished Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, will moderate the discussion on the future of America as a global power.

former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs; US special coordinator for Southeast European stabilization; Associate Director, Policy Planning Staff, U.S. State Department .

Ambassador (ret.) David C. Litt: ‘U.S. Relations with the Middle East’
Executive Director, Center for Stabilization & Economic Reconstruction, CSER, Chapel Hill, NC; former Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Consul General in Dubai; former third ranking official at U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.

Thomas Orlik: ‘U.S. and European relations with China’
Chief Economist for Bloomberg Economics, Washington DC; formerly based in Beijing as Bloomberg’s Chief Asia economist and China correspondent for The Wall Street Journal; former advisor to the UK Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund and policy analyst and speechwriter for the British Treasury. He is the author of China: The Bubble That Never Pops, Oxford UP, 2020).

Si Tao Xu: ‘China’s relations with the U.S. and Europe’
Chief Economist and Partner of Deloitte China; former chief representative of the Economist Group and forecasting director of the Economist Intelligence Unit in China; previously senior economist for Asia at Societe Generale, Industrial and Commerical Bank of China and Standard Chartered Bank.
In his intial remarks Si Tao Xu will talk about China’s relations with the U.S. and Europe
