In the variegated landscape of Filipino paranormal practice, one phenomenon garnered worldwide attention in the last quarter of the twentieth century: psychic surgery. Stacey Lee, ‘The In/flexibility of Race: Chinese Americans, Schooling and Race in the Jim Crow South’

A widely cited anthropologist of education, Stacey Lee is known nationally and internationally for her cutting-edge research on the educational experiences and academic achievement of two growing student populations: im/migrants and Asian Americans.
