Carolina Climbs to No. 7 among Peace Corps’ Top Volunteer-Producing Colleges and Universities

For the third year in a row, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has moved up in the rankings of the Peace Corps’ Top Volunteer-Producing Colleges and Universities list. UNC ranks No. 7 among large schools, up from No. 12 last year.

According to the Peace Corps, 51 Tar Heels volunteered around the world in 2016. Since the Peace Corps’ founding in 1961, nearly 1,300 Carolina alumni have served as volunteers overseas.

Carolina has been ranked in the large school category for the last 11 years.
