Center for Global Initiatives Announces Second Supplies Drive for Puerto Rico

The Center for Global Initiatives (CGI) has a second Global Take Off trip to Puerto Rico planned in May, and they are partnering with the Department of Romance Languages to collect supplies for communities recovering from last year’s devastating hurricane season.

The following items are being collected:

  • hygiene products
  • lightly used clothing for all ages (and warm climate)
  • non-perishable food
  • small power generators
  • basic camping equipment
  • batteries (AA, AAA)
  • battery powered flashlights/lanterns

Donations will be accepted through April 27 in the CGI office, suite 3000 of the FedEx Global Education Center.

Global Take Off students will hand-deliver these goods in places where these supplies are hard to come by.
