UNC-Chapel Hill Campus Operations
Following the UNC System directive to significantly reduce campus operations and services on Friday, March 20, 2020, many of Carolina’s buildings closed, and in-person, non-essential services were suspended. While some campus buildings remain open with reduced hours, most faculty and staff are working remotely. Updates to campus operations are posted on the Carolina Together website.
Student Resources
CV19 Student Care Hub
The CV19 Student Care Hub is a platform for all students (undergraduate, graduate, professional and part-time) to learn more about financial resources, academic support and health and wellness information as they navigate the impact of these circumstances.
International Students
Due to reduced campus operations, International Students and Scholar Services (ISSS) is not maintaining in-person services at this time. Advisors are available by email and continue to process requests and offer advising remotely via Zoom.

Students Interested in Academic Programs Abroad
Carolina students who are planning to participate in Spring academic programs abroad should contact their program’s organizing unit, such as Honors Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School or the UNC College of Arts and Sciences Study Abroad Office with specific questions.

Information for International Scholars
Due to reduced campus operations, ISSS is not maintaining in-person services at this time. Advisors are available by email and continue to offer advising and process requests remotely via Zoom.
- International scholars are encouraged to contact ISSS for immigration and visa inquiries.
University-Affiliated Travel
Through guidance issued on March 11, 2020, Carolina has prohibited all University-affiliated travel outside the state of North Carolina for UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty and staff.
- Any returning travelers should review these guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
