Global and area studies centers provide the UNC-Chapel Hill community with essential services and resources for instruction, learning and research related to global issues, world regions and modern foreign languages.

The 20th annual Carolina Global Photography Competition will be accepting submissions beginning June 1, 2019. This amateur competition, which is open to students, alumni, faculty and staff of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, showcases Carolina’s global activity, educational opportunities, research and service work.

UNC Global’s annual Passport Drive took place on November 7 and 8 at the FedEx Global Education Center. The event welcomed students, faculty, staff and their families to apply for or renew their passports. Officials from the U.S. Department of State were on campus both days to accept new passport and passport renewal applications.
