Lisa Lindsay and Emily Burrill, ‘Women and Enslavement in Atlantic Africa’

This faculty-led panel, part of the Carolina Seminar in African Ecology and Social Processes, is aimed at offering faculty members an opportunity to present, dialogue and exchange ideas with colleagues and students on related research topics.

Lisa Lindsay is department chair and Bowman and Gordon Gray Distinguished Term Professor of History and Emily Burrill is associate professor in the women’s and gender studies department and the history department as well as director of the African Studies Center.

This event is open to all area faculty and graduate students in any discipline. Light refreshments will be served.
