‘Talking Black in America’ (US, 2017)

This film showcases the history and symbolic role of language in the lives of African Americans and its impact on the speech and culture of the U.S. This film screening is part of the Southern Culture Movie Series for international scholars and students, sponsored by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Summer School and organized by the Writing Center, International Student and Scholar Services and the Media Resources Center.

All screenings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
