Virtual: ‘Gather’ (2020) Documentary Film Screening

Join the UNC American Indian Center for a free film screening of the newly released documentary “Gather”, a depiction of Native foodways across Indian Country. This discussion will feature hearing from Native farmers, gatherers, and chefs about how they are carrying forward traditional foodways. Stay for the Zoom discussion group afterwards to discuss the film and how it connects to food work within local North Carolina communities. Across North Carolina, Tribal Nations have vibrant living traditions of annual harvests, feasts, community gardens, and traditional foodways celebrations.
