Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Fellowship Program Accepting Applications Through May 31

The Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center is accepting applications through May 31, 2018, for graduate studies commencing Fall 2019.
The fully funded Rotary Peace Fellowship increases the capacity of current and emerging peace leaders to prevent and resolve conflict through academic training, field experience and professional networking. The spike in regional and local conflicts throughout the globe has boosted the need for professionals skilled in waging peace.
The Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center selects 10 fellows each year to participate in its 21-month master’s program in fields related to peace and security. Through the program, fellows have the opportunity to connect with an international cohort of peace fellows, thought leaders and a global network of Rotarians. Applicants have the option to apply to UNC-Chapel Hill or Duke University.
Eligibility Criteria:
- GRE
- Proficiency in English, TOEFL/IELTS (for applicants whose first language is not English)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus three years of related work experience and proficiency in a second language (strongly recommended)
- Excellent leadership skills

Award Includes:
- Tuition and fees
- Monthly stipend for room and board
- Contingency fund
- Funding for conferences and research
- Summer internship support
- Health insurance
- Transportation to and from study destination
