Each year, hundreds of Carolina community members obtain or renew a passport at the annual Passport Drive hosted by UNC Global. During the event, officials from the U.S. Department of State are on campus to accept new and renewal passport applications and to answer questions from Carolina students, faculty, staff and their families. Participants are also able to submit forms for a name change, lost/stolen passport, passport card and other actions.
Application forms are available at the event or can be downloaded from the U.S. Department of State website.
Passport photos can be taken at the event for $7 (cash or check only) by UNC One Card office staff or before the event at the UNC One Card Office. Participants are encouraged to have photos taken before the event to avoid waiting. Please review the photo requirements on the U.S. Department of State website.
Information about passport requirements, fees and procedures is available on the U.S. Department of State website.
The passport drive is typically held in November – exact dates for the 2020 Passport Drive will be posted in August.
