Film Screening: ‘Stalker’ (1979)

Grab some popcorn and take a trip into the Zone! Join the UNC Russian Flagship Program and Professor McGarry, GSLL, for a film screening of Andrei Tarkovsky’s Ста́лкер (Eng. Stalker), based on Arkady and Boris Strugatsky’s Roadside Picnic. Follow the Stalker, writer, and professor into the Zone to grant your greatest desires. This science fiction film includes philosophical, psychological, and theological themes that leave the viewer questioning almost everything. The film will be introduced by Professor McGarry, and light refreshments will be provided.
