Timothy Rose

Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs

Timothy Rose facilitates international academic and professional exchange programs that “bring the world to Carolina” as the associate director for exchange and sponsored programs. Working with U.S. and international partners, funding agencies and UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, Timothy serves as a resource for organizing externally funded programs for international visitors. 

Before joining the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs, Timothy spent 8 years working with the Office of Global Engagement at North Carolina State University as an international program and partnership manager. There, he built links between NC State departments and international partners and created and oversaw a variety of exchange, academic and training programs. A native of Chapel Hill, Timothy spent 18 years living and working abroad in the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He has dedicated his career to development, social justice and intercultural dialogue. He is a trained and experienced facilitator in the areas of cross-cultural communication, diversity and inclusion. 

Timothy has a master’s in liberal studies from NC State and a bachelor’s in secondary education from Miami University.
