African Studies Center

The African Studies Center provides the University and the people of North Carolina with a hub for interdisciplinary inquiry and communication on Africa. The center sponsors a wide variety of activities that bring together faculty and students from a large number of academic disciplines, focusing on the interconnected issues of history, political change, culture, gender, sustainability, health and religion. The center has been designated as a National Resource Center and Foreign Language Area Studies Fellowship granting center by the U.S. Department of Education.
